Orchard Shopping Center.
The 30,000-square-foot off-price store at 95th Street and Quivira Road, for which plans were announced in January, will be across the street from the area’s only full-line Nordstrom location at Oak Park Mall.
The new store is part of a rapid expansion of the Nordstrom Rack concept for Seattle-based Nordstrom Inc. (NYSE: JWN). The company is opening 18 new discount stores in 2011 after opening 17 new stores in 2010. The expansion led to sales for the off-price division climbing
to $1.72 billion in 2010, up nearly 20 percent from 2009.
